Important Notes About Enrollment:

Make an informed decision

During Open Enrollment, you should visit the CIGNA HealthCare pre-enrollment website to compare plan options, and get information to help you estimate your health care costs. The EMCOR Pre-Enrollment Site User Guide provides step-by-step instructions to assist you in navigating through the website as well as provide the user name and password.

One of the most important benefit decisions you’ll make is the right Medical Plan for your needs: the Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP), the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) or the new Basic Plan. 2014 is expected to be the last year the HMO will be offered. You should take this time to give consideration to our other medical plan options.

The elections you make will be in effect for one year, January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014. Unless you have a qualifying life change that allows you to change your benefits, you will not have the opportunity to enroll again until the 2015 Open Enrollment period.

If you enroll in the CDHP, you will have the option of opening a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA). For 2014, you will receive an enrollment contribution to your HSA.

Regardless of the Medical Plan you choose, you may enroll in the Dependent Day Care FSA to receive tax-free reimbursement for expenses related to the care of your dependents while you work.

EMCOR offers you Group Life and Disability Insurance as part of your benefits program. You may be able to purchase additional coverage during open enrollment. If you plan to elect the HMO or the Basic Plan, consider enrolling in the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to maximize your tax savings.
